Assingment 3- Data Visualisation: How does a song
goes into the hitchart

#INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the world of songs which is obviously influenced by spotify -
“the most highly used application of music listeners”.
In this
presentation we will see the how the song hits the top charts among the
listeners using our dataset from 2010 to 2019.
The dataset is from
:https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/leonardopena/top-spotify-songs-from-20102019-by-year
It has 603 records which contain the top 10 song of each year
present and 14 features namely : title,artist, top genre, year, bpm,
nrgy, dnce, dB, live, val, dur, acous, spch and pop.
We will also
look around for songs genres if it affect it being popular its beats,
tempo etc. over the presented years.

Does the genres affect the hitcharts of songs
Here, the highest listened genre is dance pop with 300 songs that
means dance pop genre helps the song to become among the hit and even
top 10’s. Listener’s like a good beat songs which they can dance up to.
We also see from boy band to the last canadian contemporary r&b it
trend of the song is very low indicating them not that much popular
among the top 10’s.
We see that definitely the listeners like to listen to full energy and
dance-able songs and it make those songs popular too!!
Does the beats of the song affect too!

Is that the charm of artists that make the song popular?
From the tempo chart it gives us the beat per minute and how is the
trends has evolved by the years. we see that listeners like the higher
tempo songs but on the other hand the slow, chill and soothing songs
were very popular.
We saw that the artists have a lot to do about
the popularity of the songs. Here we see the appearances of artists like
Katy perry has the highest and here songs also come under pop genre
which is the most liked by the listener having good tempo, energy and
dancebility. When th artist appears to the public more the more they
influence the the listeners to listen to their songs and be in demand
too
Based on all the plot we saw that there are multiple factors that
makes the songs to the hitcharts like the tempo, energy level, artist of
the song and genre too!!
A strong presence of artist in the publics/
listeners eye also creates a whole new influence and hence their songs
make the way up to the hitcharts interestingly.
