The data that I’m looking at for this assignment focuses on crash data in the City of Chicago over a ten year period. I wanted to look at the worst weather conditions throughout the year that impact the number of crashes that occur. Overall, it seems that clear weather has the highest number of crashes associated with it, followed by rain, and during the winter months there is a rise in snowy conditions leading to crashes. This is an interactive graphic so you can hover over the bars to receive information on the type of weather condition, month, and the total number of crashes that occurred for that specific weather condition.
