While there is a clear mean, high and low range for horse race wins and losses, there is a significant amount of outliers. But what is in common with these wins?
Zoom in on the map to particular countries and hover over them with your cursor to see how many outlier wins they have. They are considered outliers if they won a race but had low odds (win odds over 25). Pay special attention to New Zealand and Australia.
Clearly, within the horses that won with low odds, they won significantly more than the average win. Each line represents one horse, and the line at the end is the average winning time. One way to think about it is this is how much ahead an outlier New Zealand or Australian horse might win in these horse races.
