1 Introduction
The analysis below of bicycle crashes on the Oregon Coast Bicycle Route (OCBR) was requested by the ODOT Bike & Pedestrian Program to better understand whether any patterns exist to help inform safety solutions for these users. ODOT crash data was used in addition to a spatial file describing the location of the OCBR. Bike crashes included in this analysis were those crashes that were within 20 meters of the OCBR route and happened betweenn 2007 and 2023.
