Description of studies
Both studies are our standard vignettes (whose voice would you solicit about a role? Participants than saw four candidates).
In Study 1 (24_03.13-QualificationsDraft2), we keep the context constant (whose voice should we solicit about a DEI role). However, we manipulate who is the expert: NOBODY (‘’none’’ condition), a focal man (‘’man’‘) condition or a focal woman (’‘woman’’). > Note: PD is the focal man. JA was the other man. MC was the focal woman. LM was the other woman
In Study 2 (24_03.28 - Qualifications4), participants were told about a DEI position (‘’none’’ and ‘’man’‘) or a’‘traditional’’ workplace position (about the participant’s job function).
