My name is John Mark Kincaid Jr. , but I exclusively go by Cade. I am a junior at WVU studying accounting with minors in BUDA, BETH, and Finance. I am also a WV native and the schools 71st Mountaineer Mascot.
I am expecting to make around $60,000 - $70,000 as a CPA in WV.
The only two employers that I have been looking at and considering working for is Forvis Mazars, and EY.
A big pro of this job is the prestige that comes with the position and the fact that you become valuable to almost any company after becoming and working as a CPA.
The terrible work life balance and small amount of big firms in WV are some of the cons of working as a CPA
The salary of this position is probably negative. But at the same time it is also priceless.
I hope to work from the home office in Fayetteville, WV.
The pros of this job are endless and there are many perks/rewards
Diapers and crying are the only minor cons of this job.
I expect to make $100,000 or more once I get my foundation of working at an accounting firm and move to either some to sort of operations role or open a restaurant.
For the restaurant I hope I am my own employer, but if I work in operations I could see myself working for Alpha Metallurgical, which is a coal company.
A pro to either of these jobs is that it gets rid of the monotony of working in public or private accounting and the salary/work life balance should be better.
The only con to either job is that both are riskier than a stable accounting job, both for different reasons.
