Question
Do users who have written many reviews and/or have been writing reviews for a long period of time tend to be more positive or negative?
Methods
Subset the users, based on when they joined Yelp, into three groups
Subset reviews into three categories, early, mid and late, based on the user groups
Pick a year (2014), which we'll compare the different groups with
Compare the different results, see if there are any clear trends
Do a comparison of the early group between an early year (2008) and 2014
Result
Conclusion
The answer to the initial question is that there are that there seem to be no such relationship between the duration of the membership and the average rating.
