Exercise 1

Explain what you are visualizing here:For the 115th Congress, the scatter plot highlights the relationship between seniority of respective congress members and the number of bills they introduced to congress (all_bills). The congress members that have introduced the most bills (>50) have been labeled with text and a grey rectangle. This chart has been faceted by political party (Democrat or Republican) and a linear correlation has been provided for each party.

Explain what you are visualizing here: Since 1975, the box plot demonstrates how the ideology (higher the number, the more conservative) of congress members have shifted over time, grouped by a congress term.

Exercise 3

Explain what you are visualizing here: Create bar charts breaking down the proportion of political ideology (Liberal, Moderate, Conservative) faceted by Race (White, Black, Hispanic, and Asian). This chart only reflects surveyors that have at least 2-years of education completed.

Explain what you are visualizing here: Map the distribution of political ideologies (Liberal, Moderate, Conservative) against level of education by violin plots. These plots were scaled to the number of counts to be more useful for comparison.
