An analysis of the corporatestress data set
Introduction
I’m going to be performing on analysis on the corporatestress data, provided by Kaggle. This data contains information about the corporate stress of workers in the business world. Each row is a worker, and each column describes something about the worker. You can download the data used for this activity from this link:
Research Question
The question I want to ask: Does having a higher work-life balance mean that people will experience less stress, specifically those who work in marketing? Because I plan on going into Marketing, I think this would be interesting to see if there is any relationship between work-life balance and stress levels with those who work in Marketing. I hypothesize that more work-life balance will correlate to lower stress levels.
Plan of Action
I plan on answering this question through using the Work_Life_Balance, Department and Stress_Level variables. I am going to use these three because Work_Life_Balance tells me the score of how a worker feels that their company is with work life balance, Department allows me to filter to Marketing only, and Stress_Level gives me the level on a scale of 1-10 of how stressed the worker feels. The process I will follow to answer this question is to make a bar chart comparing work life balance to the average stress level based on Marketing workers. I will first filter by marketing workers and then create the depiction. All of the variables came from the corporatestress data frame.

Analysis
Based off of this bar chart, the bars appear to be at a consistent height across all of the different Work-Life Balance scores. One can interpret this to mean that stress levels remain relatively stable regardless of work-life balance ratings for those in the Marketing department. Thus, this visual does not support my original hypothesis.
