  1. Select "Gene" instead of "All Databases" top options button.

  2. Type "glycine" and see how many entries are displayed.

  3. Next use borlean descriptors to narrow down your search: AND, OR and NOT are the most common descriptors used.

  4. Type: glycine AND mitochondria AND protein H

  5. Type: (glycine AND mitochondria NOT plant) AND "Homo sapiens"
