I am a third year business analytics major born right here in Cincinnati. I aspire one day to work in the sports industry, ideally for the PGA one day. I currently work at a hotel downtown as a valet saving up to pay for school, but I also find time to enjoy myself within various hobbies. Mainly I like to stay active going to the gym, playing golf, skiing, and playing pickup basketball games. However, I will unwind with some video games, and I am an avid movie watcher from 80’s classics across the spectrum to sci-fi, action, and comedies.
I started schooling in the Oak Hills Local School District in Western Hills, Cincinnati through 8th grade. I then decided to attend a private school, Elder High School, in Price Hill. I am three semesters away from my analytics undergrad, yet I have not decided if I will pursue a masters right away, or wait for a couple years after graduation.
My first job opportunity arose in my second year of high school when I became a cart boy at Miami View Country Club. Then, when I turned 18 I took a job with a contracting company, MDM Contracting, gaining experience on repairing and constructing residential houses. Once I started college I took a job at the Hyatt downtown for the proximity to school and the flexibility to work as much as I can while getting a degree. This summer I plan to start my first CO-OP with TQL.
This semester between data mining, and risk and forecasting, this is my first experience with R or any other analytical software for that matter. I have done some Python basics in high school, but no more than that.
