The Prologue

Hello! I work as an auditor at a bank where I focus on internal controls over financial reporting, specifically in relation to SOX. I was born and raised around the Pittsburgh area, and moved back after college. I am married and have a stern little toddler, pictured above, and two dogs who think they’re in charge.

Academic Background

I have a bachelor’s from Shippensburg University with a major in Accounting and minors in both Spanish and Ethnic Studies.

Professional Background

• Currently I am a VP of SOX & Controls at BNY Mellon
• Previously I was an Internal Auditor at Koppers, which is a manufacturing company headquartered in Pittsburgh
• I have also done public accounting and forensic accounting analysis

Experience with R & Other Analytics

I truly have never used R or anything like it, but I have been having a lot of fun learning it so far!
