Ryan Tran

Synopsis

I am a born and raised person from Mason, Ohio, 30 minutes north from Cincinnati. I am a huge fan of video games, starting with SSBB on the Nintendo Wii.

Academic Background

I am studying at the University of Cincinnati, majoring in finance and minoring in insurance & risk management. I chose finance because my parents own a nail salon which put me on going in the business school. I went into minoring insurance because I hated accounting as my minor.

Professional Background

Most of my jobs were in food service so I do not have any professional experience. I am hoping that when I graduate, I can finally find a real job.

Experience with R

I have zero experience with R. Prior to starting Data Mining, I had never heard of that software before.

Experience with other analytic software

I have also never coded before.The one time I tried to code was when I wanted to make AI generated images because I was bored. It didn’t work because the bar was set too high for someone with no coding experience.
