Hello! My name is Jessie Nguyen. I’m an international student from Vietnam. I am excited to be part of this course and I look forward to learning and collaborating with everyone!

This is when I visited my brother who lived in New Jersey. And he took me to NYC for the first time. Since then, I have always wanted to come back to NYC. It was so much fun!

Synopsis of Who I Am

I’m from Ho Chi Minh City, one of the busiest city in the South of Vietnam. I used to complain how hustle and busy the city was, but now that I’m away from it, I miss it a lot!

This is my second years in the US and I have loved this experience so far! This is not only the chance for me to have a better education, but to get to know how to take good care of myself when being away from home.

I love cooking and baking. I cook food for me and my housemate everyday and it’s always the best part of my day. Because of school, I did not bake as much as I used to, but I try to bake whenever I’m free!

Academic Background

I’m currently a second-year student, majoring in Business Analytics and Operations Management.

Professional Background

Last summer, I was an audit intern at PwC Vietnam. During the duration of 2 months, my main work was:

Experience with R and with other analytic software

Sadly, I have not had any experience with neither R nor other analytic software. However, I feel confident that this course with be the good base for my knowledge and be the start of my code-learning journey.
