Introduction

Hello! My name is Sydney Bodenstein. I’m a third-year marketing major who is pursuing a certificate in business analytics. I am hoping to go into the field of market research after graduation. I was born and raised in Loveland, Ohio, and I like going to the University of Cincinnati because it’s so close to home.

Professional Background

Outside of my classes, I work part-time as a writing tutor on campus. I work with students on a wide variety of assignments to help them improve their work as well as their skills as individual writers. The assignments they bring in can be from any class and are not limited to English courses.

I also am working an unpaid internship as a copywriter at a nonprofit organization called Empowered Futures. My work includes editing, content writing, and other duties as they come up.

Experience with R and Analytic Software

This class is my first time working with R or any other coding language. My father is a software engineer and my brother works in IT, so I have been exposed to code before, although I haven’t worked with it myself. I’m excited to learn more about R and gain experience in code.
