Who I Am

Hi, my name is Nolan Hoffman. I am a second year here at the Lindner College of Business. I grew up in Bluffton, Ohio which is located two and a half hours away going North on I75. There are only 5,000 people in Bluffton, so living in Cincinnati is a huge change for me. I played soccer my whole life and ran track in high school. I love lifting, playing sports, watching sitcoms, and listening to music.

Academic Background

• Graduated from Bluffton High School in 2023
• Currently pursuing a double major in Finance and Business Economics as well as a certificate in Business Analytics (expected graduation date: May 2027)

Professional Background

• Lifeguard
  • I was a lifeguard at my local pool during the summer for three years. The first year I was full time then after that it was a part time job because I found other jobs that would pay me more (2019-2022)
• Theatre Staff Member
  • I worked at my local movie theatre for a year and a half. I was behind the counter making popcorn and selling snacks and drinks (June 2022 - December 2023)
• Lawn Care Business Owner
  • In the summer of 2022 I decided to start my own landscaping business. I made my own hours and worked for a wage of my choosing. My main tasks were pulling weeds, trimming bushes, mulching, and mowing lawns (2022 - 2024)

Experience with R and Analytical Software

This section is going to be pretty short. I have never used R before and have never coded in my life. The only other analytical software I have worked with is Excel.
