Introduction to Me

Hi! My name is Sam Friedman. I am a 5th year Business Analytics major at the University of Cincinnati. I work at the front desk of the University Pavilion answering questions and guiding people to the right places in addition to being a student. When I’m not at work or working on school I like to cook, play video games, and watch anime.

I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Science in Business Analytics at the University of Cincinnati. Certifications: Microsoft Certified Power BI Business Analyst Associate

Fall 2024: Co-op with Macro Solutions in Washington DC. Spring 2024: Co-op with Phillips Edison & Company in Cincinnati, OH. Fall 2023: Co-op with Phillips Edison & Company in Cincinnati, OH. Summer 2023: Co-op with Coterie Insurance in Cincinnati, OH.

Experience with R

I would still consider myself a novice when it comes to R. I was first introduced to it back in the Spring of 2023 when I took a Forecast and Risk Analysis class. I have not had to use R or RStudio in any of my co-ops so I don’t have any experience using it in a professional setting.

Experience with other analytic software

I have taken classes while in school covering Excel, Tableau, and Python. I also received a Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification while on co-op in the Fall of 2024. If I were to pick one software to say I am the most proficient in it would have to be Excel.
