Who am I?

My name is Nili Mitrovich and I am a Cincinnati native. For the past decade I have worked in CPS in early childhood education. My husband and I have 4 kids ages 14, 6, 3, and 11 months. We live with our dogs on the Westside. My hobbies include:

Currently I am taking time off work to stay home with our new baby and to work towards the data analytics certification.

Academic Background

I obtained my B.A. in Psychology (focus on child development) from University of Cincinnati and my M.A. in Education from MSJ University. Along with my M.A., I have a teaching liscense in prek-3rd grade with reading science add-on. Currently I am enrolled in the Data Analytics certification program at University of Cincinnati.

Professional Background

I have been teaching in Cincinnati Public Schools for the past decade. For the majority of that time, I taught first grade at a title 1 inner city school. My passion in education is reading science and teaching early literacy skills. I am currently on a leave of absence exploring other options that are still connected to education but not in the classroom. With the knowledge I am learning from this program, I hope to apply my new skills to work with a curriculum development company where I can support schools and teachers with data analysis and program implementation.

Experience with R/Analytic Software

I have no prior experience with R, this course is my first exposure. I finished my courses last semester covering the basics of Python and SQL. I definitely have a lot to learn.
