Hi! My name is Carter Schmidt and I am a third-year LCB student. I began my academic career as a Biomedical Engineer in CEAS and did one co-op rotation. After, I then switched to LCB to pursue a double major. I grew up in St. Marys, Ohio and currently live in Cincinnati. I am apart of the University of Cincinnati Choruses and I am the co-fundraising chair of the organization.
During my time as an engineer student, I did one co-op rotation at Midmark in Versaillesm, Ohio as a mechanical engineer. I had hands-on experience with designing my tests, coding on PLCs, and writing reports.
At my co-op, I was introduced to R as other co-op students used the program; however, I did not personally use the program.
I have taken BANA I and II which introduced me to the analytical features of Excel. During my engineering classes, I have had experience with Python coding and MATLab.
