Who Am I?

Hello! My name is Harshita Veeramalla, and I am currently pursuing a double major in Business Analytics & Information Systems. I have a strong passion for data analytics, business intelligence, and I enjoy working with data to uncover insights that drive decision-making. My academic journey has equipped me with skills in Python, SQL, Power BI, and Excel, allowing me to analyze and visualize data effectively. I have also gained hands-on experience through internships, projects, and coursework. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, pottery, pilates and learning new coding languages.

Academic Background

I am pursuing a B.S. in Business Analytics and Information Systems My coursework has strengthened my skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, SQL, and business intelligence tools like Power BI. Through projects and co-op experiences, I have applied my knowledge to solve real-world business problems, enhancing my analytical and decision-making abilities.

Professional Background

I have gained hands-on experience in data analytics, operations, and business intelligence through my co-op and internship roles. At J.D. Irving, I developed a Power BI dashboard for equipment tracking, improving efficiency and reducing downtime. Additionally, I created an app for trailer management, making trailer allocaion efficient and streamlining the entire process. My previous roles at the UC Foundation and PASH HQ further strengthened my skills in data management, process optimization, and stakeholder communication.

Experience with R

While I do not have prior experience with R, I am excited to explore its applications in data analysis, visualization, and statistical modeling. I look forward to developing my skills in R for tasks such as data wrangling, creating visualizations, and performing analytics.

Experience with other software

I have experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, and Excel. I have used Power BI for data visualization, SQL for querying databases, Python for data analysis, and Excel for reporting and modeling.
