What Gurudeva SN Goenka said:

I learned Vipassana from teacher Sayagyi U Ba Khin.

Sayagyi had an extremely strong Dhamma volition to repay debt of Dhamma to India. I heard him say.. “We gained this invaluable Vipassana technique i.e. Pure Dhamma from India. Today, India has lost it. But we have preserved it. At the start of second Sasana, we will return this technique to India and free ourselves from our ancient debt.”

Teacher Successor

Tradition

I would like to fulfill the noble desire of my teacher Sayargyi U Ba Khin

After attaining full expertise in teaching Dhamma under his guidance, to fulfill his ardent desire, I came to India and start teaching Dhamma. I became a successor to Gurudeva Sayagyi U Ba Khin.

By the benevolence of my teacher, I gained this ability and traveled to villages, cities and provinces to spread Dhamma. As Sayagyi’s representative, I served this crowd of suffering people gathered at the bank of Ganges of Dhamma by teaching them Vipassana.

Summary_Dashboard

I spent 7564 days in conducting courses.

In this way ,seeing the realization of Sayagyi U Ba Khin’s dreams. I was relived of the burden in my mind and the work of repaying debt that owed to India.

The Last Words

” Sayagyi

You would have loved to see,

this verdant blooming land,

Where faces once so parched and dry,

now glow so bright at Dhamma hand.”
