The graph showcases the male employees tend to leave at a higher rate than female employees. The gives MSD an opportunity to hire more female employees as they tend to be more loyal
2.2 Does feeling valued lead to less or more employee attrition?
If employees are working for years without being rewarded, the employee will feel unappreciated and a lack of importance to a company.Employees that have not received a promotion in 10+ years working for MSD have a higher attrition rate

Female workers have a higher representation in Human Resources, Healthcare Representative, and Laboratory Technician* roles. while men have higher representation in Sales Executive, Research Scientist, and Manufacturing Director** roles.
2.5 Years at company vs years since getting a promotion
The distribution of the data points shows that majority of employees work in Research and Development. The charts shows that the concentration of employees work in the 0-20 year range with the exception of a few outliers. Many workers, especially in research and development, have not received a promotion in over five years which may be the cause of attrition in MSD.

3 Conclusion
The analysis of MSD Ireland’s employee data has helped us identify a number of key findings may may play a factor in employee attrition and overall employee satisfaction. The main takeaways from the research conducted are
Male employees have a higher rate of leaving copared to female employees. This creates an opportunity to hire more female workers to combat gender in balance in the workplace and gain employees that tend to leave at a lower rate.
Employees that have not received a promotion in a number or years tend to leave at a higher rate than those who have been promoted in the same time period. Employees need to feel valued if a business wants to retain their service long-term
With greater pay increases and job satisfaction, research and development is the largest and most rewarded department. HR, on the other hand, has lower salary increases and lower satisfaction. Under performing departments should receive attention in order to boost employee satisfaction and morale.
The majority of employees come from a Life Sciences and Medical education background which aligns with MSD as they have a heavy focus on producing pharmaceuticals.
