How bender elements can bend more.

- An old bender element with very bad post-vibration signal is chosen
(Left hand side picture).
- The resin just above the support filed, first a shallow slot and then a deep one (middle picture & right hand side).
- Post-vibration is studied at frequencies 1~15 kHz.
These are the changes in performance either visually or by
numerical index (power).

To optimise performance of BE one can test these
tips:
+ Apply max. allowable voltage over BE (230 v).
+ Very thin coating over BE.
+ Very flexible coating over BE.
+ Very stiff resin for support.
+ Make a thick strip at the mid-height which works as a stiffner and
prevents lateral deflections of BE.
