Overall, the spreadsheet had 4,768 rows of eviction filings.
There were 4,102 unique case numbers. (Per George, a duplicate case number means one eviction filed against multiple tenants in the same unit. I’m counting that as one eviction filing.)
There were 28 cases where the address didn’t code correctly or was connected with a person outside Jefferson County. I left those out.
This scoots the points around by a small random amount. This is mostly helpful so you can tell the number of evictions within a particular apartment complex without points being exactly on top of each other. If we wanted to share the map, this could also protect people’s privacy.
Here is a pretty ugly map. If anyone wants to use it, let me know and I will fiddle with it to make it legible and add attribution.
