I have created a plot of flight delays from New York City for 2023 sorted by Airline Carrier. The plot shows that the carrier with the highest number of delays is AA, American Airlines. This might be because American Airlines runs longer flights and has does many trips. It seems that airlines with more frequent departure delays also simply have more flights. It also seems that American Airlines has some of the longest departure delays. Hawaiian Airlines may show more variance due to having some very long and very short delays, although the top few may be outliers and the data is limited for HA.
