Introduction: NOAA Data for Columbus OH, 2010-2018 collected at John Glenn International Airport

Section 1:

Both of these box plots provide information on the daily minimum temperatures and daily maximum temperatures, in degrees Fahrenheit, for all twelve months. Through these box plots, we can see the range, the outliers, the Interquartile Range, and the median temperature for each month. Two pieces of information that these box plots provide include the outliers for each months temperatures. For example, in February for the box plot including Minimum Daily Temperatures, you can see an outlier that goes below the max value of the data. Another piece of information that these box plots provide include the median temperature. For each month, the median temperature can easily be seen and drawn across to find what the median temperature would be for that month.

Section 2:

In this table, the information provided includes the average maximum and minimum temperature and the standard deviation of the maximum and minimum temperature for each month of the years 2010 to 2018. The table can easily be used to look a month, then find what the average minimum or maximum temperature was in Ohio as well as the standard deviation of the maximum and minimum temperature. Two questions that this table helps us answer includes, what was the average maximum temperature in May? Another question may be, when looking at the table, which month had the lowest and which month had the highest standard deviation of temperatures?

Section 3:

Both of these graphs titled Average Monthly Highs and Average Monthly Lows includes information on the average maximum or minimum temperatures (y-axis) for each month (x-axis) measured in degrees Fahrenheit. These graphs were created from the table from section 3, which means they are the average monthly highs and lows of each month from the years 2010 to 2018.

Section 4:

This time series graph looks at the daily maximum temperatures in the month of April in 2018. The x-axis includes the dates, such as 9 April, 16 April, and the y-axis is the temperature of that day in degrees Fahrenheit. In this time series graph, it shows that in between 9 April and the 16 April was when the highest temperature of the month of April in 2018 occured.
