Hi! I’m Jared Trevino, a Business Analytics major at UTSA, currently in my final semester of my senior year, working on earning my bachelor's in data analytics and business administration. Also currently working at Old Navy part-time.
I’ve worked a number of different jobs including security, the food service industry, manual labor, customer service, and now I’m currently a retail sales associate.
Throughout my time in the Alvarez College of Business, I was fortunate enough to learn under Dr. Sass about SAS. Over the course of a few years, I honed my statistics and software skills, culminating in a relatively proficient ability with SAS. I can take statistical data and interpret it, or transform it to fit my needs. Additionally, I use SAS to present data/statistical results in various ways to make the information clearer and easier to understand for the upper chain of command. I currently have a very elementary knowledge of Data Mining but have recently been learning about its uses in finance and its powerful capabilities. Data seems to be the new gold, as every company is selling our data to advertisers to improve marketing strategies.
I have taken many classes that have provided me with different levels of understanding of Excel, Tableau, R, and Python.
