Hi everyone, My name is Garrett Kanak. This is my last semester here at UTSA and I am very excited for the next step in my journey.

Professional Background

During my time in high school I began to work at HEB as a cart pusher in San Antonio TX. I have stayed with the company til this day while also moving up in the chain of command. As of now I am a cashier/manager in the service department.

During the 5 years I have been with the company I have done a lot.

Experience in R

I have been working with r for the past year and have really enjoyed the analytically accessibility it has. I have mainly used it for school projects but I have also used it for my own curiosity.

Experince with Data Mining

Last semester I took a class called Data Analytics in Finance, this class taught me a lot about data mining. It showed me how to analyze data in several ways including linear and logistic regressions, multiple regressions as well as tree models. The class also showed me how i should deal with missing data by using the median or mean of the column so you don’t have to get ride of too much data, All Data is Important.
