Design

A total of 189 conditions, with 2000 replications in each.

  • n=400, 800, 2000 (group sample sizes)
  • ngroups=2,4,8
  • One-factor model with dim=5,10, 20
  • distributions: normal, vm1, pl1, ig1, vm2, pl2, ig2
  • method=2000 or 2001
  • 2000 replications

In only 3 of the 378000 calls to pvalues(method=“2001”) was error produced, all for the case small model size, ngroups=8. Error was: lavaan->lav_test_satorra_bentler(): could not invert information matrix needed for UfromUGamma

With method=2000 no errors were produced.

CONCLUSION: 2000 IS UNIVERSALLY BEST, EXCEPT FOR LOW DIMENSIONS. ??
