Mortgage App Documentation

Users can enter in mortgage characteristics in the Mortgage Inputs fields.

These fields are input fields and can be changed by either typing in numbers, or using the up and down arrows at the end of the input boxes.

UPB: This fields can be between 0 and $1,000,000. Enter values in with out commas.

Mortgage Rate: This value can be between 0 and 100%. Enter values in as a percent without %.

Mortgage Term: This value can be as low as 1 month (in years) or as high as 40 years. Enter this value in as years.

Payment Frequency: This value can be as low 1 payment per year, or 365 payments per year. Enter this value in as an integer.

To return the mortgage payment, click submit. This result will return in the Main Panel Bar under the section, “The Monthly Payment is:”

Prepayment Analysis

This section is divided into two sections: completed and under development.

The completed section allows the user to change the Benchmark PSA using the slider input. Once the user selects the desired PSA rate, click submit, and the graphing showing PSA will reflect a scaled prepayment benchmark.

The under-development portion is the User Defined Prepayment section and the Benchmark Prepayment Speed Assumption(%). Future iterations of this app will include a chart showing the distribution of prin and interest payments over the mortgage products life under four scenarios:
