Intoduction

My name is Andrew Link, and I am a Junior studying Business Analytics at the University of Cincinnati. Specifically, I have interest in pursuing a career in sports analytics, but I am ultimately open to working in any field of analytics once I graduate. I have lived in Cincinnati, Ohio my entire life and have no plans to leave.

Academic Background

Professional Background

Currently, I have no experience in analytics outside of school, but I have worked as a maintenance worker at a local grade school the past two summers.

Experience with R

This class is my first introduction to R, as I have only taken two BANA classes prior to this semester. I am currently enjoying learning about this software, although it can be challenging at times.

Experience with other Analytic Software

While I do not have a lot of experience working with R, I do have experience in other software. I have spent a lot of time working with Microsoft Excel. I have worked a lot with analyzing data through the use of data charts, PivotTables, and other Excel functions. I also have used Microsoft Access to visualize data. I have had little prior exposure to Python, but I have not used this software enough to work with it.
