Hey, my name is Abdulloh Jurakhonov.I was born in Uzbekistan and am currently studying at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business. I’m interested in using data to solve real-world problems, especially in the fields of business and risk management.
I’m an international student pursuing a double major in Business Economics and Insurance & Risk Management, along with minor in Finance. I have always been intrigued by how data can be used to drive decision-making processes, and I’m excited to apply the analytical skills I’ve gained in this course to real-life scenarios within the insurance and financial sectors.
I am an active member of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity and the Economics Society at the University of Cincinnati. Additionally, I’ve participated in the Explore Your Future: Insurance Careers Externship Program at Munich Re, where I gained valuable industry insights into risk management and insurance. I’ve also developed leadership and teamwork skills through my involvement in these organizations.
To be honest, I am still new to R, but I am determined to become proficient in it by the end of this semester. Along with my Data Mining course, I am also taking Econometrics, which will provide me with additional opportunities to practice and enhance my skills in R.
I have experience using Excel extensively for data sorting, financial modeling, and statistical analysis, particularly in courses such as Business Analytics I and II. I also have beginner-level knowledge of Python, where I’ve worked with basic data manipulation libraries, though I haven’t had much opportunity to apply it to data analysis yet. However, I am enthusiastic about learning more and improving my skills in both R and Python this semester.
