Introduction to Me!

Hey there! My name is Henry Bekins, and I am currently a 3rd year Business Analytics student at UC! I am a data-oriented person who constantly analyzes everything I encounter, whether in the workplace or everyday life. I thoroughly enjoy looking for insights and opportunities for improvement using a data-driven perspective.

Academic Background:

  • Pursuing BS of Science in Business Analytics (University of Cincinnati)
  • HS Honors Diploma (Deer Park Jr/Sr Highschool)

Professional Background:

My experience spans across landscaping, data analysis, and marketing management. Currently, I work with Green Living by Design, a local landscaping/market business, as both a data analyst and market employee. In this role, I analyze large financial datasets from our POS system to provide insights, while contributing towards the maintenance of our retail and plant nursery spaces. Previously, I was a marketing and data manager for Elevated Wine and Spirits, a small alcohol distribution company. At Elevated my duties included:

  • Utilizing GoDaddy software to design and customize company websites and products related to various wines and spirits.
  • Researching and collecting data from 2000+ businesses with liquor licenses, while building and organizing excel client lists.

Experience With R & General Analytical Software:

My experience with R is limited, however I have used other object-oriented programming languages such as Lua. Within a general analytical context, I have used programs such as MS Azure and PowerBI. Currently I am learning both SQL and Python/PySpark!
