Hi, my name is Hayden Phan and this is my 4th year at UC studying Business Analytics. I am an international student from Vietnam and I have been living in America since my senior year in high school. In my free time, I like to cook, listen to music, watch movies and hang out with my friends.

Professional Background

I have been working for Great American Insurance Group as a Product, Data and Compliance Intern for 1 year. My day-to-day tasks at GA are:

  • testing multiple insurance policies
  • send testing items to developers
  • review results returned from developers
  • pass testing items for each month test plan

Experience with R

I am a totally newbie with R, however, I have a Data Analytics Certificate from Google and during the course that I took, I had a chance to get to know R. But in this class, I have more time to actual learn how to use R.

Experience with other analytic software

Besides R, I have been able to learn how to use Excel and Jupyter Notebook for the Decision Model class last semester, and during this semester I’m also learn how to use Tableu for the class Data Visualization.
