Jyothirmayi Bavi Reddy
Introduction
Hi! My name is Jyothirmayi Bavi Reddy. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Analytics at the University of Cincinnati. I’ve always been fascinated by data and how it can be used to solve problems, and this program is giving me the chance to deepen those interests.
Academic Background
I completed my Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SRM University, Andhra Pradesh. This provided me with a solid foundation in engineering, but it also sparked my interest in business and analytics.

Currently, I am pursuing an MS in Business Analytics at the University of Cincinnati. The curriculum is allowing me to explore advanced topics in data mining, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
Professional Background
I worked at KPMG for two years as an Analyst, I focused on consulting with a specialization in Salesforce, where I was involved in various aspects of developing and testing solutions. My role included analyzing client needs, designing customized solutions, and ensuring effective implementation. I collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, gaining valuable experience in project management and client interactions. This role helped me build a strong foundation in both consulting and technical skills, preparing me for advanced analytics and business intelligence challenges.
- Internship: As a Marketing Research Analyst Intern at HighRadius , I was responsible for gathering and analyzing market data to support strategic decision-making. My tasks included conducting market research, evaluating consumer trends, and preparing detailed reports to guide marketing strategies. This internship allowed me to develop a solid understanding of marketing dynamics and data analysis, contributing to the company’s efforts to optimize its market presence.
During my time at KPMG, I developed an interest in data analytics and business intelligence, which led me to pursue this graduate program.
Experience with R
I am relatively new to R but eager to learn. So far, I have completed assignments in R for data analysis and visualization, including the use of R Shiny for creating interactive dashboards.
Experience with Other Analytic Software
Before learning R, I worked extensively with other analytics tools, including:
- Excel: Data analysis and visualization using Pivot Tables and Excel functions.
- Tableau: Building interactive dashboards.
- Salesforce: CRM analytics and reports.
- Python: Basic data manipulation and machine learning libraries like Pandas and Scikit-learn.
What I Hope to Learn
I look forward to gaining more experience with R, particularly in areas like statistical modeling and machine learning. I’m eager to master R to handle large datasets efficiently, perform data wrangling, and create beautiful visualizations. This will help me in my journey to becoming a data analyst. I am also excited to explore data visualization and interactive web applications using R Shiny.
