Introduction to Me!

Personal Bio

Hello! My name is Norah French, and I am a second-year marketing and business analytics student at the University of Cincinnati. I grew up on the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin in a small town called Prescott, Wisconsin, which is about a 30 minute drive from St.Paul. I completed a year of college in high school, so I only have one full-year left at UC. I am excited to see what my future has in store for me!

Professional Background

I just finished my first digital marketing internship over the summer at Treasure Island Resort & Casino, and I am returning to that position over winter break. My daily responsibilities included:

• creating content for Tik Tok
• pushing out email campaigns through Salesforce
• researching other casinos/properties to better understand what social media strategies are working

Besides this internship, I have had various “odd jobs” over the years including being a barista, firework store cashier, dance teacher, and helping out at my mom’s graphic design and screen printing business.

Experience with R and Other Analytics Software

Coming into this class, I have no experience with R, and little to no experience with other software. After completing an Information Systems class last semester, I have very base-level knowledge of Python. However, I am excited to come out of this class with a better understanding of how to use R, and I hope I am able to put my knowledge to use throughout to course of my professional career.
