Hi there! I am Vanshika Gupta. After completing my undergraduation in 2022, I immediately started working as an analyst at Merkle DGS. What started as a new career path quickly turned into something I really like, as I spent the past two years immersed in financial data. Currently, I’m working as a Graduate Assistant at the UC Center for Business Analytics. I was born in India and have always lived there, but I have been away from my family since I was 18 for studying and later working.
Before enrolling in this master’s program I was working full time as an Analyst at Merkle DGS, Bangalore, India. I supported the marketing team in customer analytics in customer journey from acquisition to retention for a regional bank in the USA. My daily work included collaborating with key stakeholders from marketing and business groups to strategize on acquisition, engagement and retention campaigns and providing recommendations. I also created quarterly executive project presentations for newly opened and relocated branches highlighting targeting, cost, incentive and performance.
Later, I Led an exploratory project for a fintech client, analyzed 19 competitors across both traditional banks and fintech companies to uncover key insights highlighting product and services overlap, offers and promotions distinctions and common features offered by most competitors which were not provided by the client
I haven’t had a chance to work with R in a professional setting yet, but I’m definitely diving into it on my own. I’ve been teaching myself the ropes and the data wrangling classes have been super helpful. I’m enjoying the learning process and am excited to get up to speed with R!
I have extensive experience working with SAS Enterprise Guide and Oracle SQL Developer, where I have utilized them for data analysis and reporting. Additionally, I am proficient in Tableau, having created and published multiple interactive dashboards.
