Introduction to Me!

Hello! I’m Yanyan Guo, a Finance PhD student in the Linder College of Business. I graduated from Chinese University of Hong Kong and now live in Cincinnati. My research interest is corporate finance. Academic Background B.B.A. in Finance (Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, China) M.S. in Finance (Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, China) Ph.D. in Finance (University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH)

Professional Background

Currently I am a Graduate Assistant of Finance at the Linder College of Business. My day-to-day work includes:

• holding office hours (both in person and virtually)

• proctor makeup exams

• review the exams

• help draft practice problems for students

Previously, I was a Research Assistant in Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University. My main job is to assist the professor in data collection and cleaning for research projects.

Experience with R and other analytic software

I have learned to use R in one of my undergraduate courses 6 years ago. However, it is a long time that I haven’t use it.

The main computer language I use is Python. I also used Golang, STATA, SAS, EViews in previous courses and projects. But I am not good at them.
