Introduction to Me!

Hi! My name is Matt Burden. I grew up in the Cincinnati area. I enjoy to play sand volleyball and golf. A weird fact about me is that I am allergic to everything in the environment which is pretty ironic that I got a B.S. in Environmental Studies.

Academic Background

B.S. in Environmental Studies (University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH)

Professional Background

I am the Assistant Director of Maintenance for the University of Cincinnati Parking Services. I oversee a team of 10 full time employees and a few student staff members. My main focus is working with our contracted engineering firm, UC PD+C, and the picked construction company to complete structural remediation to the parking facilities. My day-to-day work includes:

coordinating maintenance projects
ordering supplies and balancing budget
checking quality of work

Experience with R

I am a novice using R. I received a 15 minute talk about what R is in one of my Biology classes in my undergrad. So far I have found the program to be very interesting.

Experience with other analytic software

I have some experience using SQL to pull reports from our parking software. I am proficient in Microsoft Excel.
