Introduction
Hello! My name is Courtney Bishop. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. I am a senior at the Lindner College of Business, majoring in business analytics. I’m considering obtaining a second degree in Finance. My goal is to work as a data analyst or financial analyst after I graduate.
Academic Background
- B.S. in Business Analytics - University of Cincinnati, Carl H. Lindner College of Business (expected May of 2025)
- High school diploma - West Clermont High School (2023)
Professional Background
I currently work at Total Quality Logistics in the Carrier Services department. My job mostly consists of taking inbound calls. My typical day-to-day tasks include:
- transferring callers to the appropriate department/individual
- providing rate confirmations to factoring companies
- providing payment statuses/resolutions to carriers and factoring companies
Prior to working at TQL, I worked as a team member at Chick-fil-A.
Experience with R
Prior to taking Data Mining, I had never used R. I think that R has been easier for me to understand than other programming languages, mostly due to the way it has been presented and taught. I am looking forward to learning more about R because I have a feeling it is something I will use quite often in my future career.
Experience with Other Analytic Software
The only other programming language I have used is python. However, we just went over the basics. I have not used python to conduct actual data analysis.
