Introduction to me!
Hi! My name is Mithisha Bri Tavares, and I am excited to join the Master’s in Business Analytics program here at UC this fall. Originally from Goa, I graduated with a degree in Computer Science, where I specialized in Artificial Intelligence. Following graduation, I worked as an IT Support Specialist, gaining hands-on experience in various technologies and problem-solving scenarios. Beyond my technical background, I have a passion for sports, especially soccer, and love traveling to new places.
Academic Background
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering with a specialization in Ai (Vellore Instiute of Technology)
- MS Busines Analytics (University of Cincinnati)
Professional Experience
I worked as an IT Support Specialist at Mobilestyx Consulting and Solutions, where I led projects, performed User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and gained hands-on experience in various technologies. In this role, I also designed solutions and utilized AI to create several projects.
Prior to this position, I completed several internships, including roles as a Machine Learning Intern and a Research Intern at a space organization. These internships provided me with valuable experience in problem-solving and working on innovative projects in machine learning and space research.
Experience with R
I have a foundational background in R, having explored basic concepts like vectors, statistics,simple visualizations and some simple data analysis. I am excited to learn more about:
Data mining
Regression analysis
Apart from R I have also worked with Python, and SQL. Apart from RStudio, I worked with softwares like Jupyter Notebook, VScode, Google Colab and SQL Server Management Studio
