Introduction

Hello! I am a new data enthusiast in the Cincinnati Metropolitan area. In the little spare time I have, I am a freelance musician and have had the opportunity to perform with many ensembles such as with the CSO Pops, Toledo Symphony, and the Blue Ash-Montgomery Symphony Orchestra. I have had the pleasure of performing in Music Hall, Memorial Hall and at the Lincoln Center in New York City.

Academic Background

Professional Background

I am currently the Senior Academic Advisor for the Lindner MBA (Online) Program at UC’s Lindner College of Business. Previously, I was the Registrar Director at the Art Academy of Cincinnati but served in many other roles, including:

In my capacity as Data Coordinator, I developed an interest and appreciation for data management, collection, analysis and visualization. This interest was the main catalyst to move over to UC and have the opportunity to return to school for a master’s degree in a related field.

Experience with R

I am brand new to R, having previously only known “R” to simply be a letter in the alphabet. Prior to taking graduate courses at the college, my learning has been driven by necessity for my job, self-discovery and curiosity. All of my analysis in the past has been done with Excel, manually cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data. In the most recent course I completed, I had the opportunity to work with Tableau and was able to just scratch the surface of that software application.
