Indroduction to Me!

Hi! My name is Meghan McConnell, I am a third year business analytics student at the University of Cincinnati. I am minor in fashion studies and I want to work in the retail industry post graduation. I am very interested in planning and allocation and market analytics.I grew up in Columbus, Ohio but I love Cincinnati! Somethings I am involved in on campus are:

Academic Background

  • In progress: B.S. in Business Analytics (University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH)
  • Expected graduation: May 2026

Professional Background

Currently I am an Research Analytics intern at Cincinnati Insurance Companies. I started in the summer full time and decided to go part time and stay on in the fall. I work in policyholder experience and some of my daily activities are:

  • Listening to calls and reading emails
  • Cataloging data from interactions
  • Creating and publishing surveys
  • Analyzing survey results

Experience with R

This is going to be a short segment because I have no experience with R.

Experience with other analytics software

My experience with analytics software is pretty limited. I have used Python a tiny bit for another class, not applied to real world activities. I have used Microsoft Excel the most. I’ve used it for classes, my internship, and organizations I am a part of. I know I still have a lot to learn but I feel the most comfortable in Excel.
