Hi! I am Katie

A Synopsis of Who I Am

My name is Katie Hammond and I am a third year at the University of Cincinnati. I am originally from Louisville, Kentucky and now live in Clifton for school. I have an adorable dog named Rhubarb and am an animal lover. I love to play ukulele, read, run, bake, crochet, and jigsaw puzzles. I absolutely love traveling and have been to over 17 countries in counting. At UC, I am involved in Bearcat Buddies, Alpha Kappa Psi, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Lindner Ambassadors.

Academic Background

I am a third year studying Business Analytics and Marketing, with an INTB minor. I am in Lindner Business Honors program and entered my freshman year. After this semester, I will only have 4 more classes until I recieve my BANA degree, but I may study abroad for a semester so that will push back my graduation.

Professional Background

I have completed 3 co-ops during my time as UC so far. My first co-op with an international co-op in Singapore where I was a marketing intern. Then my next was working for the Center for Business Analytics, and currently I am a marketing analyst at KAO Corporation.

Experience with R

The first time I used R was in BANA 4137 Descriptive Analytics and Visualization. We used strictly R to visualize the data sets. I had never heard of R before the BANA 4137 class and was so lost at first because I was never briefed on how to code in R, I was just thrown in to the assignments. But I am glad I am finally being taught how to use R in this class and have a way better understading of it now.

Experiene with other Analytic Software

I am well versed in Excel. I took spreadsheet analytics last semester and that made me feel confident in Excel and now I work a ton in Excel with my current co-op when reporting anlytics. I am also familiar with Python/Google Collab. I have made reports in Tableau and Power BI.
