Personal Biography

Introduction to me

Hello everyone! I am a health economist focused on analyzing the healthcare data to estimate the cost effectiveness of drugs and medical devices. I’m currently pursuing a Masters in Business Analytics. I’m also working as a Teaching Assistant for two different sections of BANA 001 (Business Analytics I). I grew up in a city called Gurugram in India. To unwind, I enjoy freestyle dancing, painting, and creating DIY projects from recycled materials.

• B.A.(Hons) in Economics (Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi, India)
• M.A in Actuarial Economics (Madras School of Economics, Tamil Nadu, India)

Professional background

I spent over three years as a Health Economist at two healthcare startups, where I analyzed healtcare data to take out latent infrences. My day-to-day work includes:

• Built cost-effectiveness and budget impact models in Excel for HTAs globally
• Adapting models for different countries.
• Writing reports based on the results of the model for HTA submissions.

Experience in R

I explored and tried learning R during my masters but since it was not part of my professional work after college it is far fom being an expert in R or even able to analyse the data with the help of R. That’s why I am super excited to learn R and apply it my upcoming projects. Prior to R I did coding in Excel visual basic and performed most of my analytics on excel.
