This data will be updated every 6 hours or so throughout the week. Once it’s gameday, it will update on the hour every hour from 12pm to 8pm EST as well as 5 minutes before every kickoff. Use the fourth and final data table to get a sniff of the entire line movement for a game from the week.
This is the crux of this dataset. ATS betting is clearly the most popular and seeing how lines shift as books try to mitigate their exposure can give us insight and potentially confirm or reject our biases. Search bar feature allows you to filter on a specific game to see the most recently captured spread, the opening spread captured, and what the line was yesterday.
The pricing that you see is the pricing on the favorite, so you can see where the money has flowed on that line specifically, or if the line recently shifted. Text me if you have questions.
This is where you can see where the money is going. Books will adjust their exposure to teams based on not just the amount of bets, but the amount of money that has come in. Lots of other data goes into this, for example total volume bet, if whales have made their bets yet, etc. If I get access to that, it would make it a lot easier to know if the books are trying to bait the public into a rat line or not.
A ** denotes that there was no ML offered initially but it was offered later. This usually implies that there was movement ATS in favor of the underdog, and that underdog now has a ML offered meaning bet and money volume is trending to that team.
Obviously game totals are different, but it’s great to see public perception and how injuries can play into team totals. Using this in conjunction with the other lines we can infer where we expect lines to shift, for example if a game might be tighter (meaning the total goes down) we might expect the spread to shift in favor of the underdog, so we might wait until right before kickoff to bet on the favorite and get a better number.
This is where you can manually search and see all line movements for the games this week. Use the search bar to find a team and it should filter the game down for you. If you have any questions, text me.
