My name is Sahana Sathiyanarayanan. I am a fifth year graduating at the end is Fall 2024. My biggest career goal is being able to take over my father’s IT company. Since I come from a business background with almost no technical experience, being able to manage an IT company seemed like a daunting task. I wanted to understand what goes on in the technical side of business while also learning best management practices within the industry.
Major: Operations Management Minor: Information Systems Masters: Masters in Information Systems
I have had one Co-Op rotation with GE Appliances as an Area Business Leader where I was responsible for about 50+ individual pieces of plastic injection molding machines and the workers in charge of them.
I am currently serving in the Ohio Army National Guard as a Automated Logistics Specialist. I work of lot with SAP and am very confortable with any SQL based ERP systems.
I am also currently a TA for Dave Rapien and a Student Fellow for the Warren Bennis Leadership Institute.

I knew of R since my fiance does a lot of his work with it, but I never thought I’d be taking a class on it myself.
If you consider Excel an analytical software, then that is about all I’ve used. But I’ve done a lot of work with dashboards for my father’s company so I’m pretty excited about flexdashboard and such.
