Text Prediction App Summary

Welcome to my text prediction project presentation. This is a word suggestion app that is built to predict or suggest the next as you are typing a sentence in a text box based on the commonly used words or phrases by Swiftkey on news, blogs and tweets.

This app is built in R and has been deployed on Shiny web app for easy access and sharing by others. To access the app please visit this URL https://wmwabumba.shinyapps.io/text_predictor_in_r/.

This app was developed as part of my final project product in my MSc. data science capstone on Coursera.

Instructions: How to use the app

Below are the instructions you need to understand before you can use the app:

  • Make sure you have loaded the app via this link https://wmwabumba.shinyapps.io/text_predictor_in_r/.
  • Please wait for a minute for the text prediction logic to load
  • Once the app loads, start typing your sentence to get your next word suggestion
  • You will get a –no match– or –no suggestion– message if there is no word prediction or suggestion.
  • The app only suggests English words or phrases.
