The following analyses are separated into two overall samples. The
first includes all ALLFTD participants and investigates the performance
of the UDS measures. We analyzed the overall sample with UDS measures
separately because this is much larger group (n=2559) than the subset
with TabCAT-EXAMINER (n=825). |

those sections there are clickable tabs that present sub analyses. For
example, “Table 1 UDS” has 3 sub analyses in the tab, presenting data

UDS Forest Plots (Regressions)
Presents associations between each task and the FTLD CDR Sum of
Boxes, controlling for age, sex, and education. I then included
associations between each cognitive measure and several scales: PSPRS,
UPDRS, ALSFRS, NPI, FAQ, SNQ, SBOC, IRI, RSMS. Next, I present
associations between each cognitive task and imaging data (controlling
for age, education, TIV). The final graph presents associations between
scores and NFL (log). For those interested, the numeric values of the
associations are also included below the graphs. Using ctrl + find may

Missigness TabCAT
We have a fair amount of missing data for TabCAT tasks, particularly
in longitudinal analyses. There are several systematic reasons for this
including the pandemic, bugs, and lack of administration to folks who
are more impaired. Missingness is notably high in folks with higher
CDR+NACC-FTLD global scores. Additionally, some folks failed practice
trials for several TabCAT tasks. To investigate the impact of failed
practice trials I did 2 analyses: 1) grouped participants by failure of
any practice trial vs passed all practice trials; 2) examined how
failure of a practice trial impacted missingness on that specific task
(running dots, set shifting, match, flanker).
1. Failure of even a single practice trial is
associated with missingness on all TabCAT-EXAMINER tasks, including the
fluency items. This appears to be linked primary to folks with higher
CDRS (not in markdown).
2. Failure on the practice trial accounts for the
majority of missingness in those administered the task.
Missigness TabCAT-EXAMINER by FTLD CDR Global
###### There is clearly an increase in missingness as you increase in
CDR. It does look like Match was given to folks even with higher CDR and
its missingness is similar to that of the fluency variables.

TabCAT-EXAMINER Forest Plots (Regressions)
Similar to above, this section presents associations between each
TabCAT task and the FTLD CDR Sum of Boxes, controlling for age, sex, and
education. I then included associations between each cognitive measure
and several scales: PSPRS, UPDRS, ALSFRS, NPI, FAQ, SNQ, SBOC, IRI,
RSMS. This analysis differs from the one above (UDS Forest Plots)
because this sample is slightly different. It is restricted to those who
recieved TabCAT, meaning there are generally less impaired
participants.
Note, there are two TabCAT-EXAMINER scores. Both are based on the
same model. The TabCAT-EXAMINER (NA Flunecy) had all flunecy items set

We present associations between TabCAT measures and the
CDR+NACC-FTLD Sum of Boxes. Results are in forest plots.
We next created change scores for sum of boxes (time 2 minus time
1). Change scores were binarized into stable (no change or positive
change) vs Worsen (increase in box score). These change scores were
entered into a regression as an independent variable, controlling for
age, education, and sex. The dependent variable was a single cognitive
task. Results are presented in a forest plot. These regressions were
completed within the available TabCAT sample. All participants had
CDR+NACC-FTLD global scores of 0 or 0.5 at time 1.
[not shown]: Those who worsened over time were matched using
propensity score matching to stable participants, based on age,
education, and sex. A second series of regressions was then completed
with this matched sample. Results were similar.
