The following map highlights sites that are (potentially) available for new counters to count.
Team Sites are surveyed by coordinated groups of counters, and new counters are always welcome.
Potentially Available sites do have a counter assigned to all subsites, but no data has been loaded from them over the last 5 years. The assigned counter may have retired or relocated. These sites are potentially available.
Available sites have at least some subsites that are not assigned to a counter, and no data has been loaded from these sites over the last 5 years. Based on the data in the I-WeBS database, these sites are available for counting.
For clarity, the map does not show the hundreds of sites around the country that are assigned to counters and from which data has been received recently.
